Transparency on my AI Usage

Public announcement: I use AI for the graphics on this site. I don’t use it for anything else. The rest of the content, mess and all, is authentically my creation.

Clarity

I just wanted to be clear that I’m not doing anything weird!

I wrote these words myself for example.

I actually started writing this post on my phone somewhere on a cliff-top path during a run because I realised I needed to be absolutely crystal clear for authenticity.

But the graphics…

Like many Scrum Masters out there I am afflicted with a can’t-draw-but-definitely-will-draw personality disorder. You might have encountered it before.

And if you’re a Scrum Master reading this, you can either silently acknowledge this broad pseudo-fact from our tribe, or you can challenge me to a cliff-top duel in the comments below…

But for the purposes of Empiricism here are some examples of my drawing to demonstrate why I choose to use AI for the graphics on this site.

The Grisly Evidence

Reality

This isn’t AI slop. It’s genuine, A-grade, human slop by my own fallible hand.

Anyway, the point of all this is that I’m not good at drawing and I certainly can’t do calming, reassuring graphics – the sort that gently intersperse professional writing to give you the subliminal reassurance that this is a reliable source of information.

As such, I use AI to help me with my graphics. But it’s doing what I ask it to and I obviously check the results before I add it to the site. I want it to enhance my work and my communication, not create worthless noise.

Otherwise, these words are all authentically mine – typos and all. I make no apologies for it. Oh wait no, I do – I’m sorry! All the mistakes, the inconsistencies and the general human fallability – it’s me, and I mean what I say, but sorry for any mess. Thank you.
